The first thing I noticed about Pittsburgh was its insane number of bridges. With a downtown snuggled between two major rivers, what else would you expect? Turns out, Pittsburgh is known as the City of Bridges – with over a thousand bridges in and around the city! I’m not sure who figured this out, and how they did, but there you go.
Pittsburgh is also in a very hilly place, which means that apart from the number of bridges we’ve also got a many, many tunnels. The most beautiful sight – I didn’t take a picture because I was just too captured in the moment – is this one tunnel that leads onto a bridge that goes right into the heart of the city. As soon as you leave the tunnel the whole skyline is right in front of you… It’s a sight to behold.
I will try my best within these next four months to find that tunnel/bridge again, and take a picture or a video of it.

That would probably have been the Fort Pitt tunnel, on the way to town from the airport.
Thanks Majorie! I’ll be sure to check it out
